The Cotswolds: Relax With Nature

The Cotswolds is an amazing area of outstanding beauty, and one often offered up by many individuals when asked where their favourite place on Earth is. The area is so tranquil and peaceful that it is hard not to fall in love with the “Heart of England” after spending just a few hours there. In fact, many individuals retire to a little cottage there every year, and why not? When you see what it has to offer, you are guaranteed to fall in love with it too!

Although the Cotswolds do extend into five other counties, the largest land area is in Oxfordshire. It is one of the few areas of England that still remains unspoiled and completely rural today, and considering the amount of urbanisation that has taken place in recent years that is a small miracle! You can see miles and miles into the distance from the top of the hills and marvel at Mother Nature because she really is in all her glory here! If you want to explore a little further then there are rambles and walking trails that you can go on and enjoy. There are also picnic areas and a variety of attractions to keep you occupied if you so wish, because staring at the natural world for hours is not everyone’s cup of tea!

For example, whilst in the Cotswolds, why not visit the Cotswolds Wildlife Park? It is home to over 200 different species of creature and will keep children and adults alike entertained for hours. You could also pay a visit to Blenheim Palace, which is also in the Cotswolds. You can sample the splendour of the British upper class home, pore over the artworks inside and enjoy the exhibitions too. You may even want to take in one of the jousting events that are held there from time to time.

Whatever you decide that you want to do, there is always something to keep you busy here so relax and enjoy. Life is too short after all!
