The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre

The Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre:
The Enchanted World Of Make Believe!

This great little award-winning Museum is aimed at 6 to 12 year olds and their families. Situated in Great Missenden where Roald Dahl lived and wrote for 36 years, it was created as a home for the author’s unique archive (which you can see on regular tours). The Museum has two fun and fact-packed biographical galleries and a fantabulous interactive Story Centre that inspires creativity.

There is also a café and shop. Café Twit serves a family-friendly range of home-made soups, sandwiches and cakes. The Shop is a treasure-trove of books, toys, gifts and pocket-money items.

In the school holidays and at weekends the Museum runs an exciting range of workshops, events and free storytelling sessions. Free craft activities are always on offer, while the Village Trail leads you around Great Missenden to see the places that feature in the stories.

Visitors usually stay for between one hour and 90 minutes, though many stay much longer. The site is fully accessible to wheelchair and pushchair users. For more information on access you may visit their website www.roalddahlmuseum.org
