Bedford Butterfly Park

Bedford Butterfly Park

Welcome To The Wonderful World Of Wild Britain!

If you want to see the wilder side of Britain, in strictly natural terms of course, then there is only one place to go in Bedfordshire these days. Formerly known as Bedford Butterfly Park, the area was renamed Wild Britain on February 1st, 2008 and has a brand new look, feel and attitude. You absolutely have to visit if you are in the area because it will undoubtedly provide you and your family with an unforgettable experience!

Wild Britain has certainly had a bit of a facelift for the new image that it has created. It used to be perceived as just a good butterfly park but now it is a nature area that can provide people of all ages and backgrounds with hours of fun. It is actually set in a ten acre conservation area that features wildflower meadows, a brand new nature trail, a butterfly video presentation, a puppet show, a mini farm, an adventure playground, regular events and displays and of course the tropical house that the previous butterfly park was famous for!

The whole point of Wild Britain is to highlight the nature and conservation that is all around us every day and just how important it is to nurture it in the world today. The Urchin nature trail is perfect for that. You can have fun along the trail with your children or on your own because there is much to learn and much to enjoy along the way!

The Wild Britain tropical house is still a major draw as far as visitors are concerned though. You can admire the various species of butterfly that live there, the exotic plants that are on display and enjoy the contrast between that and the meadows that line the property outside of the tropical house. It is open all year round so you just have to turn up and enjoy the beauty of nature!
